Ascorbic acid (vitamin C)

Arcorbic acid (E300)

Ascorbic acid is artificially produced vitamin C. Consumed in large quantities, ascorbic acid is proven to make our body resistant to diseases such as arthritis, heart disease or cancer. Together with other vitamins, minerals and nutrients, vitamin C or ascorbic acid also acts as a very strong antioxidant in the body. Free radicals that would otherwise cause damage and mutations in cells can be neutralized with ascorbic acid. The recommended amount of ascorbic acid is 90 mg for men and 75 mg for women. The recommended amount is much higher for pregnant and lactating women, as well as for smokers. Of course, these doses are just enough to prevent scurvy. In today's world, it is worth consuming 1000-1500 mg of vitamin C per day, which can be taken into our body with raw vegetables, fruits, and dietary supplements. We can flavor our tea with ascorbic acid instead of lemon juice, so it is easy to take in the recommended daily amount. It can also be easily mixed with food for babies and small children.
